After installation this starter will turn your engine over at unbelievable speed. Makes cold start a whole lot easier. The problem is that it lasted 6 months then failed. This is the second one of these exact starters that I have owned. The first was bought directly from the vendor. The second through amazon. The first one lasted 7 months on the same unmodified 7.3 liter diesel that I own. I know now that the first one was not a random chance. These starters just do not last.
