i bought 2 of these because i had a budget and the kicker square 15 L7 were not in that budget. I installed them in my 2002 Yukon XL. I am new to the audio stuff. I wanted the best for the money i had. I was looking for the Boss 15" subwoofers but were hard to come buy at the time for some reason, also i liked the price of the Boss subs even more so. So... everybody i run into with subwoofers in there car, they had two 12" subs. I didnt want what everybody had, i wanted equal and better, overall i got better with these kicker comp vr 15"s. "My God Man" why on earth would someone want 2 15's in any vehicle. At first when i bought them they sounded extremely good on the inside of the truck, windows up. I had the gain on the bass inferno 3000 watt amp, just barely turned up, not even a 1/4 turn maybe a 1/16 turn. and they were perfect. Then I hear ppl driving by me with twelves and there 12's i could feel them in my chest, and thought why doesnt my subs do that. So i turned the gain up to half way, adjusted bass boost which i neglected to see the first time i hooked the amp up and there is no reason an average street user need more than 2 of these. I wanted to upgrade to the square L7's but I would probably go def that much faster...lol. After reading reviews about ppl blowing subs i was very cautious about turning the gain up, out of fear my money would have went out the window. So after turning it half way I went all the way to see if they could handle the power and not only did my truck and the neighbors cars vibrate, but the windows on their houses were shaking as well. I thought i was about to have a heart attack. Never again will i do that. If u have the space and want loud throw these 2 15's in your ride with the proper amp. Be careful I think these things probably can cause defness or a heart attack no B.S. To think I wanted four 15"s , im satisfied with these, anything more is insane..
