I ordered this item (two bulbs) for my 2008 Prius. Those of you with HID headlamps in a second-generation Prius will understand... replacing the bulbs is a surprisingly involved process that takes 90 minutes if you've done it before. Anyway, upon receipt I noticed the bulbs had popped loose from their retaining clips inside the manufacturer's packaging. Not a good sign. Neither bulb worked. I went through the replacement process, which is always excellent on Amazon, and got another pair the next day. This time one bulb worked, and one didn't. Also, the one that worked was not 4,300K as advertised and labeled... it had a distinct blue hue indicating it was in the 6,000K range. I went through the replacement process a second time, again excellent, and this time Amazon told me not to bother to return the bulbs. The third set of bulbs arrived in a completely different type of packaging, much superior to the first two sets. I was optimistic, but alas, again only one bulb worked. At least it was white this time. On my third pass through the return process, Amazon threw in the towel and opted for a refund. I found equivalent bulbs at [...] for half the price ($75 /pair rather than $150), and they worked great the first time. Amazon: You need to find a different supplier for these bulbs.
