Clarion CMG1620S 6.5-Inch Marine Component Speakers Review

If you are looking for n easy replacement for factory installed speakers (such as the discontinued CM1632) because they have deteriorated to the point where the holes in the woofers are big enough to put your finger through (and I can't imagine why else one would buy these speakers) these may not be the ideal speaker. It is true that Clarion has not changed the the cutout or screw hole pattern for the woofer however they did change it for the tweeter making a direct replacement difficult. There aren't a lot of component speakers with 5" + 2" cutouts so options are quite limited but I ended up leaving the old tweeters in and just using the new woofers which I'm sure will also disintegrate in another few years of marine use.
