I purchased this for my 2012 Nissan Frontier after emailing CURT directly to confirm that no modifications would be needed in the muffler for the hitch to fit. My Frontier had an outlet under the frame near the rear bumper to plug the towing harness into. The frame was also pre-drilled to mount the hitch. The hitch matched up with the pre-drilled holes in the frame perfectly. The hitch installed in about 15 minutes with my father helping me to hold the hitch steady until I had a few bolts in place. The hitch has remained secure and worked just fine for towing so far. I only tow occasionally but the hitch appears that it would hold up well for more frequent towing.
